Treatment of gum disease
More teeth are lost these days due to periodontal (gum) disease than through dental decay. The Practice is very aware of this and has a strong Periodontal Department. The gums are the foundations for the teeth and are therefore critical. Like a building, bad foundations can spell disaster for the construction above (the teeth.) Dr Sarah Manton is a periodontal specialist and the more advanced cases are referred to her from within the Practice and from other dentists in the country. All dentists in the Practice have an interest in this condition and regularly monitor every patient at every dental examination.
